Welcome!
My name is Kate and I am a 20-something working at my first job as a Software Developer in Washington DC. As exciting as it sounds, it means I sit in a cubicle for 9+ hours a day.
After about a year and 25 pounds later, I have decided to make some changes!
Problem: I have no motivation. True, I would like to look better and be healthier. But when it comes to actually working out, I HATE it. Not a big fan of a lot of the healthy eats either. Pizza, wings and beer are my frienemies! Tofu is just my enemy.
Solution: Try new things and slowly work change my lifestyle!
I grew up playing sports (soccer and lacrosse) through college. Not having a team to play on has been Hard to adjust to. I have to make my own workouts instead of getting told when, where, what to do! So I currently trying out other forms of working out including running, yoga, cycling and others!
In November of 2009, I decided to sign up for a half marathon and training program. So on March 7th, 2010, I RAN my first Half in Disney World! (race recap here!)
